Maybe when I’m done with endings this can begin.

I sit here on the couch anxiously thinking about falling asleep in my filthy huge bed. (Filthy may be the new adjective of the week month...think along the lines of "really," "wicked," or "majorly"...) Tyler would be so proud of me. I never sleep in my bed. For those of you who think that's an exaggeration previous to Wednesday I could count on one hand, with fingers left, the number of times in the past 3 weeks I'd slept in a bed. It really is wonderful.

I'm so happy about my new place. Yes, it's still where I've lived for years but it's cheap and I'm poor and well, I get a HUGE room to myself in the summer. But even better than all that, I have a roommate who I love and adore and who I honestly love living with (a rarity). Megan is so much fun and we're so similar that we get along great but don't easily bug each other. Plus we have about the same sleeping schedule so that creates minimal conflict with one of us being noisy while the other needs quiet time. Oh man. I'm STOKED for this summer. It's going to be rad.

Let's see...life since Vegas. Dad came to visit--being so far away from home, it's great when my family comes to visit because I don't get to see them often. My poor dad, though. I always feel like I need to entertain him with something really fun or really cool and, let's face it, it's Utah. That's really not going to happen. And well, I'm kinda boring. Now I'm terribly interesting in my own right but I don't have a lot of things to do with my dad and so I always feel like he's bored out of his mind. Although, our random visits to people from his past always proves interesting. It's something I assume most people don't do--just show up at people's homes--but something that is terribly hilarious about my dad and creates for some interesting situations. Plus, my parents are rad awesome and got me a new computer for Graduation/my birthday. It's so nice to have a computer that functions well and I don't really have to worry about. Now all I need is to find a Toshiba Satellite laptop power cord so I can charge my old computer (my power cord died) so I can dump everything on the external hard drive and move it to my new baby.

What else...my internship starts on Monday and I'm starting to get nervous. It's more of an excited nervous like you get before Prom in High School, or before opening the envelope from your first choice school, or before a really hott date. The good nervous. And I hear that we get cool stuff, too, so that's awesome. hah. I definitely have my priorities right.

OH!!!! and fun major news: My 22nd birthday is one month from today. Okay, so that's really not the exciting news. The exciting news is I get to meet this hottie tomorrow:

Okay. Story time. So this afternoon as I sat on my couch with my gimp friend, who also happens to be one of our sports guys from my show, I said something about the fact that there's nothing to do in Utah and how I had no real plans for the weekend. Then came these blessed words: "You know, Beckham's in town tomorrow." We then proceeded to discuss my undying love for this man and his influence on soccer. Well, being in the program that we are and being as wonderful as he is he got press passes for tomorrow!!!! I'm SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is seriously a life goal fulfilled. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. This is honestly like a dream come true. I couldn't wait to tell Tyler--he's a HUGE Beckham fan (and about the only person besides my immediate family who would understand what this means to me). Megan just loved it because she knew I was excited and Beckham's a hottie.

I've recently become minorly obsessed with NBC's 30 Rock. It's witty, and funny and well written. Tina Fey is a genius.

Oh and in my quest to get a tan this summer I have fallen in love with these three swimsuits. And I'm loving the music scene lately. So much good music for the start of summer.

And, I think I've finally gotten Tyler to hug a palm tree for me. (I love them, lots.) I can't wait for him to come back.

  1. I hear you on the Toshiba Satellite Laptop power cord dying. Mine died about a month ago. I had a warranty with Office Depot and through THEIR error it has taken almost a month to get it. I've been assured it was in the mail on Friday, but I won't believe anything until it's in my hands. Bottom-line: I sympathize with you.

    PS: Where are you interning?
PSS: That's awesome you get to meet Beckham. I'm expecting a blog report.

  2. Oh my gosh! Your dad is so the image of his father! He used to HATE when your grandpa would drag him to all the ends of Utah and the great beyond (Idaho, Wyoming) to visit people that he hadn't called to tell them that they were coming. Just show up! Random! Most of the time the people they went to see were home, gardening, cleaning the garage, or just going out the door on the way to the grocery store, etc. Sometimes, they weren't there. Why would they stay home on a gorgeous summer day? Did anyone call and give them hints as to why? NO! Boy, life has come full circle.
